Shireland City Learning Centre has developed considerable experience in working with teachers to embed new technologies across the curriculum to raise attainment and develop innovative and creative approaches to learning. We regularly present on our work at conferences and have recently been visited by a TES journalist and are involved in a Best Practice Case Study for QCA as well as working on a Research Project with Birmingham University . We have recently become a Regional Training Centre for Apple UK , which has enabled us to enhance our facilities and ensure that we offer our learners access to the latest Apple Technology available to trial and to support the curriculum.

We will be offering a broad range of training opportunities in 2006/7 including team teaching, bespoke programmes for our partner schools and institutions and courses available to all. As one of six national CLC ICT Register Pathfinders, our services are now advertised online as part of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust ICT Register.
